We actually wrote the bones of this song many years ago, when we were in a full band. But when working on this EP we reimagined it, transforming the structure but retaining the basic melody line and a few of the lyrics.

The song describes the protagonist bursting into their shared home expecting to find his girlfriend's lover there. However he's met with only more clues (the man's name 'written out in pencil') and the blank but beautiful face of his girlfriend, who is slowly falling from his grasp. The song ends with a near desperate plea that he can't share her.
